Incorporated in 1990, SCS began life as a manufacturer of temperature-control units for fluid-dispensing systems. As robotic applications became the norm in the automotive industry, precise temperature control in paint, sealer, and adhesives applications became necessary for success. SCS was there to provide the expertise and technical innovation to meet this need. Since then, we've expanded both our know-how and our market to include more customers, more industries, and more applications.
Innovators from day one...
Our success has been the result of two things: really understanding the problems that customers were having with their systems as a result of inconsistencies in temperature, and developing the patented solutions that eliminate the undesirable effects. Our innovations quickly made SCS the benchmark for the industry and soon brought us to a dominant position in the market.
Rapid growth necessitated a move...
Several moves, in fact, until we arrived at our present location in Washington, Michigan. Our state-of-the-art facility houses production cells for the manufacture of components and the assembly of our fluid-temperature and viscosity-control systems. The SCS corporate office suite comprises our R&D, CAD, engineering, and customer-service operations.
Demand for SCS expertise has taken us worldwide...
While our systems are still the benchmark of the automotive industry-representing a market share of over 80%-our customer base has broadened. Today, our process-temperature-control, material-temperature-control, and viscosity-control systems are being introduced to myriad new customers and industries in applications involving sealant and adhesive dispensing, roll and coil coating, and material finishing.
In just under two decades, SCS has established itself as the state-of-the-art in fluid-temperature and viscosity control, a status we guard closely as we lead our industry into the future and to an ever-broadening market.
