Our extensive experience in automotive robotic-dispense environments has produced numerous innovations in protective, insulating, and water-jacketed covers and hoses. Like the temperature-control systems themselves, all SCS accessories are designed and fabricated to industrial specifications.
protective cable cover
Commonly used with articulating robots and made from long-wearing solvent-resistant material, these customizable covers were designed with the demands of the automotive-assembly environment in mind. And yet they're easy to use and save hours of installation time. Velcro or clamp-end closures make for simple installation over cabling, tubing, fluid hoses, wires, etc.
Water-jacketed hose covers for material-temperature control
An integral part of a complete temperature-control system, this SCS patented design provides a controlled environment in which material is not affected by ambient conditions. Typically used in cyclical-flow systems such as adhesive-dispense robotics, this technology allows temperatures to be maintained through frequent or lengthy periods of no-flow. Customized to fit over material-circulation lines, water-jacketed covers are simple to install-no production down-time, and no cutting or cleaning of material lines. High-efficiency insulation is sewn into the cover assembly, which wraps around existing lines and is secured by Velcro or zipper enclosures. Cover also includes water-connection manifolds.

whip-hose assemblies
The function is the same as our water-traced covers-maintaining process temperature of the material. But unlike the water-traced cover, these assemblies come complete with conditioned water-supply and material hose. The whip hose is typically used as the last hose on the robot where maximum flexibility and minimum weight and diameter are priority.

coaxial hose
Durable, lightweight, and completely customizable, this patented heat-transfer design turns a supply hose into a flexible heat exchanger with temperature sensing in the material stream. Standard configuration comprises carbon-steel end blocks with buna rubber hose material. Options for components include corrosive-resistant end blocks in aluminum or stainless steel, and Teflon-lined stainless-steel braided hose.

SCS has the in-house ability to create water-trace or insulation-only covers for even the most complex configurations. Oftentimes an application requires that devices such as regulators, flow meters, and filters be mounted in the flow path after the temperature-controlled material has exited the heat exchanger. And though the number of possible configurations for such systems becomes endless, the need to control material temperature at all points is no less critical. These SCS customized covers are the solution.
