Each SCS temperature conditioning system includes a Temperature-Control Unit (TCU). This component heats, cools, and circulates the closed-loop conditioning fluid through heat exchangers and ancillary components. The TCU ensures proper temperature of the paint, coating material, or other process fluid, throughout production.
A temperature sensor located in the process fluid stream sends the fluid temperature to the PID controller, which automatically determines whether heating, cooling, or no action is required. This method provides consistent control of fluid temperature and viscosity, resulting in minimized reworks and production-line stoppage, and reduced, or even eliminated, solvent usage. Accurate temperature control also allows for the use of lower spray pressures, reducing component wear and maintenance requirements.
SCS temperature-control units can be customized to meet specific production requirements for size, heat-exchanger mounting, and pump volume. Every unit is tested before leaving the SCS facility to ensure fast, trouble-free start ups.
