Theory of Operation
This is a patented approach to keeping the turbine air above the dew point. The SCS 2100AH mounts outside the explosion proof environment and uses water to transfer heat to the associated air heaters within 5' of the turbine driv
e air inlet. This approach eliminates condensation and the problems that it creates!
Your air-heater system eliminates condensation and icing problems. In many industrial dispensing applications, compressed air is used to power mechanical devices (pumps, motors, spray guns, bells, etc.). When compressed air is released it expands, causing a drop in temperature. In applications such as these, this effect can cause cooling at the exit of the air stream resulting in condensation and even ice build-up. Associated issues range from defects due to water dripping on the parts being processed, to equipment failure caused by ice formation.
Simple and Effective
Our patented system eliminates condensation (and the icing that can result) by heating the compressed air at the point of use. The circulated water loop design makes these systems suitable for use in intrinsically safe environments (spray booths, mix rooms, etc.) without the expensive and complicated wiring and inherent worries often associated with direct electrical heating systems. The SCS system can also be easily adapted to simultaneously heat purge solvent along with the compressed air, thus adding improved cleaning efficiency to the reduced defect and increased uptime benefits of the base system.
Can be used to eliminate icing in air driven paint and material pumps being used in explosion proof environments.
Can be used to heat DI water in the explosion proof environment for increased cleaning capability.
